Marko Gucheski, LL.M. is a dedicated legal professional with a strong academic background and a passion for environmental and international law. His professional journey includes diverse experiences, from interning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia to serving as a Project Coordinator at the Center for Legal Research and Analysis for several years. He has also contributed as MP Assistant at the Assembly of North Macedonia and interned at the National Democratic Institute. Previously, he held a position of Legal and HR Manager in the private sector, as well as paralegal at an Attorney at Law.
His latest degree is an LLM in Environmental Law at Queen Mary University of London, where he explored the implications of the Prevention Principle in avoiding transboundary harm, examining the Danube River Protection Convention as a case study. Prior to this, he pursued an LLM in International Law and International Relations at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University Skopje (UKIM), focusing on the application of rules for termination and suspension of international treaties in his dissertation.
His commitment to legal excellence and societal progress is further evidenced by his role as a Course Ambassador for the University of Cambridge's program on Democratising Education for Global Sustainability and Justice in 2023. With a rich blend of academic rigor and practical experience, he is eager to make impactful contributions to the field of law and beyond.
