LGP Senior Expert Counsel Vladimir Peshevski is an experienced expert in the field of business, economy and politics. He is a former Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, where he served three consecutive terms. His work was focused on attracting and negotiating FDI, structuring and implementation of large infrastructure projects, international dispute resolutions, as well as design and oversight of the general economic policies of the Macedonian government.
He was previously the Director General of SEAF South Balkan private equity investments funds managed out of Washington DC, where he was responsible for all aspects of the funds’ operation in the Balkans, including creation and negotiation with international investors and IFIs, staff recruitment and training, deal structuring, reporting to investors, general investment oversight and exits. He also served as a CEO of Dnevnik, the largest and most influential daily newspaper in Macedonia, which was successfully sold to a German media conglomerate WAZ. He also has a vast experience in all aspects in complex M&A transactions, both on buying and selling side.
During his career, he was part of the Research Centre for New Technologies in the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts and worked on projects in the field of renewable energy, power systems and energy policies. His rich professional experience includes membership in the first elected Board of Directors of the AmCham in Macedonia, President of the National Council for Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship, and a guest lecturer in Business Strategy at the Executive MBA program at the University of Sheffield.
